CALLING ALL FIFTH GRADE PHOTOGRAPHERS!!!!

You might have seen cameras at school, no we are not have having a free camera giveaway. This year’s yearbook cover will be based on how well you can capture a day at Ogden Elementary School. This competition started in mid-September.

We had an online interview with Mrs Whittle.

Here are the results:
There have been other contests including the Azalea themed artwork. But this has been the first time the yearbook committee has had a photography contest. The parent volunteers who organized the yearbook decided to get the students more involved with the yearbook, mainly through photography. They decided to do a cover contest with photographs from a typical day at Ogden so the children could show the school through their own eyes. Since this is, for fifth graders, the last year at Ogden, the yearbook committee thought that having the pictures on the yearbook cover would be special. The yearbook committee chooses the winner by reviewing all entries, then votes on which entry best suites the theme and is the most visually appealing.

One big thank you to Mrs. Whittle!

Great news!! The yearbook committee decided to change the date to October 14th and give everybody another week to bring the heat and submit your best work.  Don’t forget, ALL ENTRIES HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED VERTICALLY so it can be transferred to the yearbook. Also, ONLY 5 SUBMISSIONS PER STUDENT. All submissions should be emailed to oes.yrbk@gmail.com.
